Andrew C. Liazos is a partner in the law firm of McDermott Will & Emery LLP based in the Firm’s Boston office. Andrew heads the Firm's Executive Compensation Group and the Boston Employee Benefits Practice.
Andrew regularly represents public companies, large closely held businesses and compensation committees on tax and securities aspects of executive compensation, ERISA fiduciary matters, employee benefits in business transactions and bankruptcy, and employee stock ownership plans. He also counsels executives in employment agreement and joint venture negotiations.
Andrew is ranked as a leading executive compensation and employee benefits lawyer in Chambers USA – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business, The Legal 500, and Massachusetts Super Lawyer.
Andrew frequently writes and lectures about executive compensation, employee benefits and related corporate governance matters. He is Vice-Chair of the Foreign and International Subcommittee on Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation for American Bar Association and the past Chair of its Split-Dollar Life Insurance Task Force. Andrew is a faculty member of the American Law Institute-American Bar Association and a past Chair of the ERISA Committee of the Boston Bar Association.
Andrew is admitted to practice in Massachusetts (1990), Maine (1993), and the United States Tax Court (1990).
