Our lawyers work with makers of computer hardware and electronic components in general corporate matters, financings, distributorship arrangements, commercial disputes arising out of credit sales and warranty claims, intellectual property protection and government contracting, and international trade. We represent makers of thick and thin film technologies, video display terminals, computer-aided vision systems and communications hardware. The firm’s hardware client base is international in scope; our recent representations include counseling European manufacturers in arranging U.S. distribution networks for electronic components, advising a U.S. manufacturer of circuit boards in the reclamation of its product from an insolvent manufacturer, and representing one of the world’s largest manufacturers of computers in an audit of its compliance with import and export laws.
