HIPAA Privacy Solutions for Physicians & Medical Groups
CHICAGO -- McDermott Will & Emery's health care practice has announced the second module of its HIPAA PRIVACY SOLUTIONS designed specifically for physicians and medical groups. HIPAA PRIVACY SOLUTIONS is a comprehensive implementation tool designed to help comply with the complex HIPAA privacy regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
The newest HIPAA PRIVACY SOLUTIONS for physicians and medical groups includes an assessment tool, a work plan, a sample set of all privacy policies and procedures essential for HIPAA compliance, and a staff training tool. HIPAA PRIVACY SOLUTIONS is designed to be self-implementing. Implementation tips are included throughout, addressing issues of particular concern to physicians and medical groups. In addition, a supplemental two-hour "train-the-trainer" session is available by McDermott Will & Emery HIPAA Practice Group lawyers.

The first module which was released last year was tailored for the industry sector most affected by HIPAA — hospitals and health systems. The applicable set of HIPAA PRIVACY SOLUTIONS materials includes all of the policies, forms and contract language that the particular sector needs to implement HIPAA privacy requirements.
