McDermott Partner Appointed to the Board of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES (July 7, 2008) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that Jill Basinger, partner in the Firm's Trial Department based in Los Angeles, has been appointed to the Board of the Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles (WLALA) and selected as the Litigation Section Co-Chair.

As a member of the Trial Department, Ms. Basinger focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and intellectual property.  As an active trial lawyer, Ms. Basinger has successfully tried cases involving wrongful termination, fraud, breach of contract, defamation, invasion of privacy, and other disputes.  She is co-author of "The USA Patriot Act" in TerraLex, and co-author of "Pretrial Motions" in Defending Diversity: Cultural Issues in Criminal Defense.
