McDermott Again Recognized for its Leading Trademark Practice
WASHINGTON, D.C. (May 22, 2007) — McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that its Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department was recognized in Intellectual Property Today's "Top Trademark Firms" survey, published in its May 2007 issue. The Firm’s Trademark Practice Group was ranked among the top 10 most active trademark firms. The list is based on the number of trademark registrations issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the previous calendar year. With 533 trademarks issued in 2006, McDermott placed in the top 5 percent among the 169 firms surveyed.
"This 'Top-10' ranking complements our group's other accolades and recognizes the strength and capabilities of our full-service trademark practice within a full-service global law firm," said Robert Zelnick, head of McDermott's Trademark Practice Group.
In March 2007, the Firm's Trademark Practice Group was ranked among the leading trademark and copyright firms in Managing Intellectual Property's annual survey of the world's leading IP firms. In addition, in September 2006, IP Law360 ranked the Firm's Trademark Litigation Practice in the top 10 of more than 250 law firms in the United States.
