Head of Trademark Practice Group Named

WASHINGTON, DC - McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announced that Robert Zelnick, a partner based in the Firm's Washington, D.C. office, has been named head of the Firm's Trademark Practice Group.

Most recently, McDermott Will & Emery's Trademark Practice was identified as trademark counsel for three of the Fortune Global 50 companies, as published by IP Worldwide in its November 2002 issue.  The Firm's Trademark Practice tied for second-place for most prosecution mentions among the Global 50 companies.  The survey asked Fortune's Global 50 companies to identify their trademark litigation and trademark prosecution counsel. 

Additionally, the Firm's trademark lawyers were responsible for more than 250 trademark registrations issued in 2001, ranking the Firm among the top 50 trademark firms in the United States by Intellectual Property Today.  The Firm's Trademark Practice spans major U.S. cities as well as London and Munich, and includes more than 30 trademark lawyers and other dedicated trademark professionals, making it among the largest global trademark practices.
