McDermott Named Patent Leader
WASHINGTON, D.C. (April 4, 2006) — McDermott Will & Emery's global Intellectual Property, Media & Technology Department ranked in the top 10 of Intellectual Property Today's annual survey of top patent firms, both boutique and general practice (March 2006 issue). The survey, based on the number of patents issued by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office in the previous calendar year, places McDermott tenth with a total of 1,282 patents issued in 2005.
