McDermott Welcomes Back Leading Health Lawyer
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The international law firm of McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that H. Guy Collier will be rejoining the Firm’s Washington, D.C. health law practice as a partner. Mr. Collier, previously a partner in the Firm’s D.C. health practice, practiced at McDermott from July 1986 to May 1999.
"The growth and expansion of McDermott’s practice areas and geographic markets provides increased opportunities for comprehensive and efficient response to client needs," commented Mr. Collier. Mr. Collier represents community and teaching hospitals, post-acute providers and public companies on a variety of transactional and regulatory issues. A substantial part of his practice is also devoted to corporate compliance, including internal and governmental investigations and extensive counseling on issues of fraud and abuse and medical research compliance. Mr. Collier also previously served at the Institute of Medicine and in the Office of General Counsel, Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS) in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Collier earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia, his J.D. from the University of Richmond Law School and a master’s in public health from John Hopkins University. He is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and Virginia, and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
