McDermott Named in Annual American Lawyer Corporate Scorecard

NEW YORK (April 2, 2008) — McDermott Will & Emery was recognized in the recently published American Lawyer annual Corporate Scorecard.  The Firm's Corporate Department was recognized for the work done in 2007 by its private equity, financial advisory, and M&A practices.

McDermott was ranked 13th for the value of private equity deals handled in 2007.  Additionally, the Firm was ranked in the top 10 by number of M&A transactions in 2007 where the Firm served as counsel to the investment advisors.

The annual Corporate Scorecard tracks law firm transaction practices ranking firms in various corporate finance practices.  The latest scorecard includes only public, registered offerings and/or deals from 2007.  The data used by American Lawyer to compile the rankings comes from financial information suppliers, including Mergermarket and Thomson, among others.
