By combining the role of London Office Head with that of the Head of European Practice, my focus will be to continue to drive cross-border collaboration and expand our European network. The Firm's focus of providing innovative, cross-border legal services to our US and global clients in Europe and the Far East, is the right strategy for growth in the coming challenging economic climate. There is no doubt that London will be a key driver in helping us to deliver our growth strategy, and I am excited by the prospect of leading this effort."
McDermott's Chairman, Harvey Freishtat added: "Last week the Firm's Management Committee and other senior partners met in London to start a year in which we celebrate the 10th anniversary of the London Office. The opportunity was taken to highlight the key role that London and the European network have played in our past success and their central role in driving our growth in the next few years. In addition to the new management appointments, the arrival of lawyers with market leading reputations, such as Hugh Nineham in London, confirms our strategy of building a top tier cross-border practice.
