Creditable Coverage Notice Deadline Reminder
10/04/2007Group health plan sponsors offering prescription drug coverage must provide annual notices of creditable or non-creditable prescription drug coverage to every active employee, retired employee and dependent who is eligible for Medicare Part D and covered by the plan no later than November 15, 2007. The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has posted updated model notices and a revised general creditable coverage guidance document (for use on and after February 15, 2007), available at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/CreditableCoverage/10_CCafterFeb15.asp#TopOfPage.
