Overview
Linda M. Doyle serves as the Firm’s General Counsel. Prior to her appointment to this position, Linda focused her practice on all aspects of employment-related litigation and counseling. She has advised boards of directors and employers on employment issues, develops and delivers training sessions for employees and management, and conducts internal investigations relating to whistleblower, discrimination and other claims. Linda has experience in negotiating labor contracts and representing clients in arbitrations under collective bargaining agreements, as well as in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board and the US Department of Labor (DOL). Linda also counsels private equity companies, investors and boards of directors on leadership change and succession issues.
Linda’s trial experience includes class actions and single-plaintiff actions related to:
- Non-competition agreements, trade secrets and unfair competition
- Whistleblower claims under state law, the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and the False Claims Act

Linda previously served as the Firm’s chief human resources officer, deputy general counsel and hiring partner.
Results
- Served as lead counsel and secured a defense verdict on behalf of a manufacturer and distributor of wire products against allegations of wrongful termination, harassment and discrimination
- Served as lead counsel and secured a defense verdict from the DOL for a food company against a Sarbanes-Oxley whistleblower allegation
- Served as lead counsel and secured a defense verdict for an energy company and its CEO against allegations of breach of contract and tortious interference with a contract related to a non-competition agreement
- Served as lead counsel and secured a defense verdict for a manufacturing company against allegations of breach of contract (commission and earn-out provisions of an asset purchase agreement) and fraud related to the sale of a business
- Served as appellate counsel, successfully overturned a jury verdict and sustained that ruling on appeal to the US Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit for a manufacturing company, in a matter related to allegations of breach of contract, gender discrimination and wrongful termination
- Served as trial and appellate counsel and obtained and sustained a verdict for a hospital against a False Claims Act whistleblower allegation
