International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce that it has been named a Law Firm of the Year finalist as part of The American Lawyer Industry Awards in 2021.
Over the past year, McDermott has made significant investments to deliver ever-greater value for our clients, people and communities. McDermott has also been recognized as a finalist in the Best Business Team category, which highlights the efforts and impact that our Business Development group has achieved this past year. Led by Chief Business Development Officer Elizabeth Gooch, the team has developed a sophisticated sales enablement system with centers of excellence focused on client voice, data-driven metrics and best practices in and outside of law.
Additionally, Chicago-based partner Rachel Cowen has been named a finalist in the Best Mentor: Law Firm category in recognition of the immense impact she has had on others, especially as it relates to advancing women in the legal industry. She has inspired both male and female lawyers at McDermott to be better mentors to our women colleagues.
