Overview
Annabelle Rau focuses her practice on banking and financial services regulatory law, corporate law and EU banking and financial services law. Her practice ranges from the regulation of traditional financial services to FinTech business models, including crypto regulation. Annabelle further advises several listed companies on their annual general meetings and ongoing obligations under capital market law. She is also experienced in advising a DAX company on regulatory matters such as licensing requirements.
Prior to joining McDermott, Annabelle worked at two international law firms in the area of corporate law in Germany and New York and conducted research as a visiting scholar at Columbia University for her comparative law study on German and U.S. securities regulation. In Germany, her activities included assisting in advising public banks and their special-purpose associations.
