International law firm McDermott Will & Emery represented funds managed by Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors, L.P. (Kayne Anderson), a leading alternative investment management firm focused on real estate, credit, infrastructure/energy, renewables and growth equity, in a $182.5 million equity commitment to TreadStone Energy Partners III, LLC (TreadStone III), a private exploration and production company formed to pursue, acquire and exploit opportunities with scalable exploitation and development upside.

• The transaction closed on January 24, 2022.
• This transaction allowed Kayne Anderson to upsize and restructure an equity commitment to TreadStone III, providing additional capital to TreadStone III, a highly successful repeat management team of Kayne Anderson.
• The McDermott team was led by Kevin Brophy and Jack Langlois and included Jibin Luke, Adam Sherman, William Pomierski and Sarah Nabors.
