Overview
Elizabeth Hummel focuses her practice on government contracts matters affecting a wide range of clients. She advises clients on a variety of issues, including analysis of FAR and other procurement regulations. In particular, Elizabeth counsels clients on compliance obligations under various Federal grant programs, advising clients on the Uniform Guidance, as well as analyzing and drafting required company policies. Elizabeth has experience with various Department of Energy grant programs, the American Rescue Plan Act and associated State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds, and other grant programs. She also conducts due diligence on government contract transactions.
Elizabeth has experience supporting litigation of False Claims Act claims as well as bid protests at the Government Accountability Office and Court of Federal Claims. She also has assisted with appeals at the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals.
While in law school, Elizabeth was a notes and projects editor for The George Washington University Law Review. Elizabeth was also a judicial intern to Judge Wheeler for the Court of Federal Claims and a judicial intern for the Superior Court of DC.
