Overview
For the third year of its partnership with the Fulbright Program, McDermott Will & Emery’s Paris office is awarding two scholarships to two law students to continue their studies at the university of their choice in the United States.
On Tuesday, May 31, 2022, the candidates shortlisted by the Fulbright Commission after a double pre-selection process, presented themselves before a jury composed of several law professionals and were able to present their academic and professional projects.
The members of the jury and the firm are very pleased to announce that for this 3rd rendition of the partnership with the Fulbright Program, two laureates have been selected: Ariane Furniss Malherbe and Solène Roizard. The excellence of their profiles and their involvement in several associative projects were key factors in the jury’s choice.
“Once again this year, we received excellent candidates, with brilliant academic backgrounds, who are very committed through numerous volunteer and community activities and who have very interesting projects. To reward this spirit of excellence, which we value so highly, we have decided to select two profiles to receive a McDermott X Fulbright scholarship. We warmly congratulate Ariane Furniss Malherbe and Solène Roizard on this occasion and wish them a rich learning experience in the United States that we hope will be an asset for their future careers,” added Sabine Naugès, McDermott partner, on behalf of the jury members.
The jury was composed of:
- Irène Cambourakis – EVP General Counsel, Board secretary and member of the Executive Committee at TECHNI
- Florence Muh-Wallerand – General Counsel – Wholesale & International Networks at ORANGE
- Ana Cristina Barriendo, Head of Recruitment, Carreers and Training, Timothée Gagnepain, Sabine Naugès and David Revcolevschi, partners at McDermott Will & Emery
