Overview
Jane Kim focuses her practice on ERISA litigation. She has experience handling a variety of complex commercial litigation matters related to employee benefits issues, as well as investigations brought by the Department of Labor (DOL) and other government agencies.
A certified public accountant, Jane worked at a Big Four accounting firm and other multinational companies before pursuing her career in law. In that capacity, she applied financial analysis and accounting procedures for various corporate legal departments and performed internal audits for international and domestic company affiliates. Jane draws upon this experience in her ERISA practice to effectively advise clients through DOL audits and investigations.
During law school, Jane served as a judicial extern for Judge Daniel J. Kubasiak of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division. There, she researched and wrote on matters involving breach of contract, taxation and consumer protection issues. Jane was also an editor for the Comparative Labor Law & Policy Journal and a member of the Elder Law Journal.
