Overview
Andrew Kim focuses his practice on corporate and transactional matters within the energy industry. He has a particular interest in renewable energy projects and extensive experience in tax equity investments across the United States as well as experience advising clients on a wide variety of domestic and cross-border financial transactions.
He regularly advises lenders, sponsors and investors on corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate matters.
While in law school, Andrew served as the Managing Editor for the Human Rights Law Review. He was also selected as the Intern of the Year by the International Refugee Assistance Project.
Results
- Represented the sponsor in the closing of construction financing and tax equity commitments relating to a 130 MW wind farm in Indiana
- Represented Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners and its portfolio company, Scout Clean Energy LLC, in the closing of construction financing and tax equity commitments relating to the 180 MW Heart of Texas Wind Farm in McCulloch County, Texas
- Represented a global financial institution in connection with more than $1 billion in investments in residential and commercial scale solar installations and debt facilities relating thereto
- Served as lead counsel to Credit Suisse in creation of a joint venture to finance $1 billion of commercial solar energy systems
- Served as lead counsel to a global financial institution in connection with numerous alternative energy investments, including in the wind, solar and fuel cell energy sectors
