Overview
Deepika Raj advises a broad range of healthcare industry clients on regulatory, compliance and transactional matters. She offers multifaceted advice on state and federal fraud and abuse statutes, licensure rules, cannabis laws and due diligence matters.
Deepika’s insight into healthcare regulatory matters stems from her previous tenure at the California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), which administers the California Medicaid program. At DHCS, she provided oversight to contractors in the fee-for-service and managed care delivery systems; served as a subject matter advisor on procurement teams; implemented program integrity provisions; and was responsible for the provider enrollment function for pharmacy, durable medical equipment, orthotics and prosthetics, and emergency and non-emergency medical transportation providers. Deepika draws on this extensive regulatory experience to offer nuanced and actionable legal advice for businesses operating in the healthcare industry.
While in law school, Deepika served as note and comment editor for the Wisconsin International Law Journal and competed as a member of the Wisconsin Moot Court Board. She also interned at a biopharmaceutical company and externed for the American Health Law Association.
