WASHINGTON, DC (April 21, 2023) – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce Alva Mather and Nichole Shustack as honorees of The Legal Intelligencer’s Professional Excellence Awards.
Alva, named a “Distinguished Leader,” is global co-head of the Firm’s Regulatory Practice Group and leads the Alcohol Regulatory & Distribution Practice. As a nationally recognized lawyer for alcohol beverage regulatory, commercial and M&A matters, she combines extensive knowledge of the commercial and legal landscape with a deep understanding of the beverage industry to help clients mitigate risk, respond to challenges, and capture and pursue new business opportunities.
Nichole focuses her practice on alcohol trade practice, regulatory, commercial agreements and distribution matters. Honored for “ESG Impact,” her noteworthy representations include Beam Suntory Inc. in the execution of a Renewable Energy Services Agreement with 3Rivers Energy Partners to develop a renewable natural gas anaerobic digestion facility adjacent to the Jim Beam distillery in Boston, Kentucky in a projected $400 million expansion.
