Overview
Deepak R. Tamasker focuses his practice on corporate due diligence and contract management, including structured contract and real estate lease review and corporate reorganization planning for both buy-side and sell-side clients in the health care, life sciences and information technology sectors.
Deepak also advises case teams on with electronic discovery and trial preparation issues involved in complex civil litigation and regulatory investigations, including securities litigation, Securities and Exchange Commission investigations relating to white-collar criminal and civil allegations, Department of Justice investigations relating to antitrust review, Stark Law and Anti-Kickback Statutes, breach of contract and other corporate disputes, and patent infringement.
In his previous role as a senior real estate credit analyst for a large international bank, Deepak performed detailed risk analysis upon potential and existing mortgage and construction loan transactions, including sector and geographic market analyses and sensitivity testing to assess downside risk, for commercial, industrial and multi-family properties.
While in law school, Deepak was awarded the Distinguished Scholar merit scholarship for all three years, and served as president and executive board member of the South Asian Law Students Association. He was a legal intern for the Community Development Clinic, a research assistant to federal income tax professor Craig M. Boise and participated in the Dean Dunmore Moot Court Competition. He also served as an extern for the City of Cleveland Department of Law and as a law clerk for the City of Chicago’s Corporation Counsel.
