International law firm McDermott Will & Emery bolsters its Atlanta-based team with the addition of Litigation Partner Kasim Reed. Well-known in Atlanta business circles for his entrepreneurial spirit and deep professional networks, Kasim previously served two terms as mayor of Atlanta. He joins from Squire Patton Boggs.

Kasim’s practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, and he leverages his public policy experience for the strategic benefit of Atlanta-based corporations across a variety of industries.

In addition to his mayoral terms, Kasim previously served in both the Georgia House of Representatives and the Georgia State Senate. He also held several leadership and advisory roles, including former chairman of the Transportation and Communications Committee of the United States Conference of Mayors and former chairman of the Regional Transit Committee of the Atlanta Regional Commission.
