McDermott Moves into New Austin Space, Poised for Continued Growth

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has relocated its Austin office to a prominent block of the city’s bustling Warehouse District.

Located on the 22^nd floor of 300 Colorado Street, McDermott’s new Austin office is intentionally designed for employee wellbeing with floor-to-ceiling windows that bring abundant natural light and a dramatic view of Lady Bird Lake. In addition, colorful artwork, high ceilings and exposed ductwork make for a modern and energized aesthetic. All the desk furniture is ergonomic and active so employees can sit or stand with the push of a button.

Built in 2020, the 32-story building represents Cousins Properties’ “next-generation” office tower featuring high-performance, inspiring workspaces. The McDermott office features several state-of-the-art amenities, including an activity-based working concept with private offices, millwork team stations, open soft seating and conference rooms. The building is Energy Star certified, meeting strict energy efficiency criteria set by the Environmental Protection Agency to help generate fewer greenhouse gas emissions. This office move is part of the Firm’s larger overall design approach and growth mindset for the future, ensuring clients have the support and counsel they need in the geographies where they need it most.
