Overview
Matthias Weissinger advises on domestic and cross-border financings as well as restructuring. His extensive experience provides valuable advice to national and international financial institutions, debt funds, sponsors, and corporate borrowers. Matthias’s expertise covers a wide range of areas, including leveraged buyouts, unitranche financings, bank/bond financings, and corporate lending for large and mid-cap companies.
In addition to his financing work, he has a strong background in complex debt restructurings, out-of-court solutions, insolvency proceedings, and distressed M&A transactions.
Matthias regularly publishes and lectures on insolvency and restructuring issues and acquisition finance.
Prior to joining McDermott, Matthias was a partner at several leading international law firms.
