International law firm McDermott Will & Emery advised H2 Equity Partners on the acquisition of the William Hackett group from members of the Burgess family, including an equity reinvestment by certain managers and associated debt financing for the acquisition.
Established in 1892, William Hackett is a leading global provider of safety-critical lifting equipment and specialist chains, with sales to over forty-two countries from its headquarters in Alnwick, England. The business assembles, tests, and certifies its products according to multiple international standards and legal health and safety requirements.
The McDermott team was led by private equity partner Tom Whelan and included partners Aymen Mahmoud, Paul McGrath and Hendrik Viane with counsels Elisa De Carolis, Sarah Gabbai, Raminta Dereskeviciute and Diana Pisani.
