July 30, 2024 – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery is pleased to announce Amy Pimentel has been named a New Leader in Law and Sarah Chapin Columbia has been named an Intellectual Property Lawyer of the Year finalist as part of Law.com’s New England Legal Awards 2024.
Amy advises clients on global data protection, privacy and cybersecurity. She harmonizes requirements across jurisdictions and legal regimes to build practical, business-focused privacy and cybersecurity programs. She also helps multinational companies understand privacy rules and balance their legal risks when entering new markets or breaking into new or nontraditional industries.
Sarah counsels clients on overall intellectual property (IP) strategy and positioning, including litigation avoidance. She also provides strategic guidance in complex transactions in which IP assets often are critical to a successful deal. Over the last dozen years, she has led 17 patent infringement, trade secrets and invalidity trials across several jurisdictions.
