Munich, August 20, 2024 – With a team led by Holger Ebersberger and Thomas Diekmann, McDermott Will & Emery represented Hannover Finanz-backed Lacon Group on its acquisition of Montronic GmbH & Co. KG.
The acquisition is part of Lacon’s buy-and-build strategy and is a strategic move to enhance its aerospace segment, leveraging Montronic’s proximity to key industry players.
Lacon Group, headquartered in Karlsfeld, is a leading EMS player with more than 700 employees across multiple locations in Germany and Romania. The group focuses on developing, optimizing, manufacturing and repairing electronic and electromechanical assemblies. Hannover Finanz acquired a majority stake in Lacon in 2019.
Montronic, based in Glinde, Germany, has been a provider of integrated solutions for electronics manufacturing for over 25 years, specializing in sectors such as aerospace, mechanical engineering, sensor technology and utility engineering.
The McDermott team was led by partner Holger H. Ebersberger and Thomas Diekmann and included Julia Külzer, Manuel Weiß, Armin Teymouri, Lukas Deutzmann, Tim Becker, Claus Färber, Adrian Helfenstein, Florian Schiefer, Ilva Woeste, and Steffen Woitz.
