Sarah Raaii and Alden Bianchi join Health Tech GC to present a webinar titled “ERISA Fiduciary Liability for Service Providers to Employer Health Plans” on September 5, 2024. The discussion will explore recent cases related to ERISA-governed welfare plans panel and will examine the origins and content of this new wave of claims and place it in the larger context of ERISA’s regulation of welfare benefits. The panel will provide a solid foundation in application of the ERISA fiduciary standards as applied to welfare plans; point out the likely strengths and weaknesses of the complaints alleging breaches of the ERISA fiduciary rules; and offer a series of best practices aimed at reducing health plans’ and health plan service providers’ exposure to this very new and very real threat.
