Overview


Christian Tatum focuses his practice on intellectual property matters, including patent litigation and post-grant proceedings. He has worked with clients in a variety of technology sectors, including energy generation, aerospace and semiconductor.

Prior to rejoining McDermott, Christian served as a law clerk to Chief Judge Rodney Gilstrap in the US District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, during which time he participated in eight civil jury trials and a bench trial, as well as numerous pre-trial conferences and Markman hearings. In law school, Christian was a James Kent Scholar, Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, Hamilton Fellow, and articles editor for the Columbia Science and Technology Law Review. He has a strong technical background, having earned bachelor’s degrees in physics and astronomy.
