International law firm McDermott Will & Emery welcomes Candice Nichol as a partner in its market-leading tax practice. Candice is the ninth London-based partner to join this year, and her arrival further strengthens the Firm’s standing in the London market.

“Candice is one of the new breed of proactive and entrepreneurial tax lawyers. She’ll be instrumental in supporting the growth of our UK and European tax advisory mandates,” said Kevin Cummings, the UK head of tax.
A seasoned, multidisciplinary tax professional, Candice joins from a Big Four firm. She works with private equity funds and investors on the structuring of all types of international transactions across all asset classes. She also advises clients in the asset management, and financial institutions industries, with a particular focus on cross-border deals and fund and balance sheet structuring. Candice also has experience with contentious tax matters.

Candice’s arrival follows the recent hires of Graham White, Fatema Orjela, Christopher Kandel, Darren Rogers, Devina Rana, John Burge, and Sebastien Bonneau in London.
