Overview
Alicia A. Corona focuses her practice on private client and wealth management matters, specifically litigation regarding a wide range of trust and estate issues. Prior to joining McDermott, she spent several years as a litigator handling complex, multijurisdictional litigation and representing companies and individuals in connection with compliance, government and internal investigations, and other white-collar criminal defense matters.
Alicia is a first lieutenant in the US Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corps. As a judge advocate, she provides legal assistance and counseling to soldiers in the areas of administrative investigations and separations, estate planning, family law, real property, consumer protection, and immigration.
Alicia was an article editor for the Harvard Latinx Law Review and a member of Harvard Defenders, where she represented indigent clients at criminal show-cause hearings. During law school, she served as a law clerk for the Louisiana Center for Children’s Rights. Following law school, she served as a judicial law clerk for the US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit and the US District Court for the Central District of California.
