McDermott’s Professional Development Team Recognized by Chief Learning Officer for Driving Innovation, Strategy

International law firm McDermott Will & Emery earned bronze awards in both The Innovation Award and The Strategy Award categories at the Chief Learning Officer’s 2024 Learning in Practice Awards.

The recognitions highlight the McDermott Professional Development (PD) team’s significant impact in fostering colleagues’ professional growth and excellence:

• The Innovation Award: The PD team’s Deposition Skills training uses diverse learning techniques tailored to different adult learning styles to equip litigation and adjacent practice associates with the skills they need to succeed. The program culminates in depositions with immediate feedback from seasoned practitioners, ensuring associates can apply their skills effectively.
• The Strategy Award: The team’s Healthcare Summit offers second- to fifth-year US healthcare associates an immersive day-and-a-half training to enhance substantive skills and provide exposure to a wide range of partners. The summit includes practical exercises and promotes a culture of collegiality and collaboration.
