Munich/Dusseldorf, December 17, 2024 – McDermott Will & Emery has advised Main Capital Partners on the acquisition and financing of the acquisition of procilon Group, a leading German provider of software for secure communication and digital signatures. The seller is Harald Quandt Industriebeteiligungen GmbH.
As a strategic partner, Main Capital will support procilon in its next phase of growth. procilon’s current management team will work closely with Main Capital to drive the company’s next phase of growth.
The acquisition is Main Capital’s fourth platform investment since the launch of its new fund MC VIII in April 2024.
The procilon group headquartered in Leipzig, Germany, was founded in 2001 and today advises more than 2,200 companies, organizations and public authorities on all matters related to information security and data protection.
Main Capital Partners is a leading software investor in the DACH region, the Benelux countries, the Nordic countries and the United States. Main Capital manages assets of around EUR 6 billion and maintains an active portfolio of more than 50 software groups.
McDermott regularly advises Main Capital on transactions, including financings.
