Christopher Smith is a Senior Associate in the London Finance, Restructuring and Special Situations Group. He focuses his practice on domestic and cross-border leveraged finance transactions, advising corporate borrowers and issuers, corporates, private equity firms and other institutional investors.

• Advised Tristan Capital Partners on the acquisition and same-day enforcement of a German mixed residential and commercial assets NPL portfolio
• Advised the financing sources in connection with the financing of a private equity firm’s bid of more than €1.2bn for a publicly listed company.*
• Advised a group of private credit funds on the more than £1.2 billion financing for a private equity firm’s cash offer to acquire a publicly listed company.*
• Advised the arrangers in connection with the implementation of a new term loan b facility and a revolving facility in aggregate exceeding €2bn for a private equity firm’s portfolio company.*
• Advised the mandated lead arrangers on the underwritten financing package supporting the bid by a consortium for a global company in a deal valuing firm at more than €2 billion*
• Acted for a publicly listed company supporting its financing of over €4bn for the acquisition of a multinational’s local subsidiary.*
