He has secured approvals for significant mergers facing review in multiple jurisdictions, including some of the largest mergers in the communications, manufacturing, technology, and food and beverage industries.
  • Jon Dubrow, Washington, DC, US head of McDermott’s Antitrust Practice Group: Jon is a strategic advisor who serves clients across a host of interrelated antitrust issues, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) clearance, counseling, investigations, and litigation. He leads the defense of mergers, acquisitions, and joint ventures before the US Department of Justice, the Federal Trade Commission, and other international competition authorities.
  • Christian Krohs, Düsseldorf, Cologne, European head of McDermott’s Antitrust Practice Group: Christian advises clients on all aspects of antitrust and competition law, including litigation and proceedings before German and EU courts, coordination of complex projects before antitrust authorities worldwide, as well as compliance programs and investigations.

“I’m pleased to have Ryan, Jon, and Christian leading our preeminent global Antitrust Practice Group, and we thank our partner, Ray Jacobsen, for his many contributions in leading practice over the years and look forward to continuing to work with Ray as a key member of our team,” said Alva Mather, global head of McDermott’s Regulatory Practice Group. “We counsel clients throughout the entire lifecycle of transactions, and we are well positioned for the anticipated upswing in M&A activity in 2025.
