The NLRB and Unions in 2025: Historic Changes and Opportunities

Overview

Please note the new date. This webinar has been rescheduled from February 25.

Recent and upcoming changes at the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) will rebalance the dynamics of union organizing, collective bargaining agreement negotiations, and unfair labor practice investigations and litigation. As a result, we anticipate unions will pivot to a new direction on organizing and bargaining tactics. In addition, employers have several options for managing and engaging unionized workforces.

Join the McDermott labor team for a breakdown of the latest developments, 2025 projections, and new options for unionized and nonunionized employers and investments in unionized industries.

Discussion topics will include:

  • An overview of the recent changes at the NLRB
  • Action items and options for employers with pending unfair labor practice investigations, hearings, or other proceedings
  • Strategies for employers facing election campaigns, strikes, walkouts, or attacks on their brand and reputation
  • Opportunities and risks of transactions involving unionized operations

CLE credit is pending. McDermott is an accredited CLE provider in California, Illinois, and New York. We can issue reciprocal credit for attorneys licensed in Connecticut, Florida, and New Jersey. For all other jurisdictions not listed, attendees will be provided with a Universal Certificate of Attendance which they may use to self-apply for CLE credit in their state of admission. Attendees should contact their state’s CLE Board for current rules, regulations, and guidance.
