ACC Georgia | Coming Soon to a State Near You: Evolving US Privacy Requirements & Practical Tips

Overview

Fran Forte is presenting a CLE lunch program, “Coming Soon to a State Near You: Evolving US Privacy Requirements & Practical Tips,” to the Association of Corporate Counsel Georgia Chapter (ACC Georgia) on October 10 in Atlanta. Fran is joined by Kaeley Brown, privacy counsel at Snap Inc., to discuss the newly enacted state privacy laws and how they overlap with existing state and federal obligations that are being enforced by different regulators with contrasting priorities. They’ll provide practical tips to build or supplement a compliance program to address these requirements and enforcement risks, including harmonization strategies and “benchmarking” about evolving market practices.

McDermott’s global privacy and cybersecurity team is a proud sponsor of ACC Georgia and regularly presents to ACC chapters nationwide on data privacy matters, including compliance with the new state privacy laws. To learn more about the program, visit the event page on the ACC Georgia website.
