Overview
On April 10, 2018, McDermott’s Paris office will host a roundtable discussion on data protection issues in smart cities, with the participation of Jean-Bernard Auby, Sciences Po University Professor and Director of Chaire Mutations de l’Action publique et du Droit Public (MADP), and Julie Schweiger, Chief Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer at Suez France.
Romain Perray, head of the Data Protection and Cybersecurity teams in Paris, and Sabine Naugès, co-head of McDermott’s Public Law Department in Paris, will act as speaker and moderator respectively. This session will provide an overview of the legal, practical and academic aspects of the issues surrounding data protection in smart cities.
This event is made possible through McDermott’s sponsorship of the Master 2 Electronic Commerce and Digital Economy Law (“Master 2 DC2EN”) of the Law School of La Sorbonne (Paris I), and we invite the students to attend and participate in this discussion.
