Overview
David Saunders will present on the topic of “Risk Assessments Lessons Learned, Part II: Privacy” in this two- part webinar hosted by Lawline. Organizations identify privacy risks through a number of activities including formal privacy risk assessments, updating privacy notices, or engaging in data mapping activities or even engaging in a novel use of data. Since the enactment of GDPR and CCPA the focus on these privacy-centric activities has significantly increased. Throughout all of these exercises, a common group of lessons learned has emerged. This Lawline session will outline some of the more common privacy risks organizations identify and considerations for mitigating those risks. Attendees can utilize this information to engage in discussions with technical and compliance colleagues and develop or mature their privacy program.
In this second installment, key take-aways include:
- A discussion of common privacy-centric activities that help organizations identify privacy risks
- Common privacy risks organizations should identify and plan to address
- An understanding of how to integrate these findings into the development or enhancement of a privacy program
