June 11, 2024 – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has been recognized once again as a leading firm by Chambers USA 2024, earning 75 practice rankings (25 in national categories). This year, the Firm achieved eight new and seven improved practice rankings, along with 18 Band 1 and 16 Band 2 national and state rankings, collectively.
15 Years of Top Healthcare Rankings:
This year marks the 15th consecutive year the Firm has secured a national Band 1 ranking for its leading healthcare practice, also earning top state rankings in California, the District of Columbia, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts and New York. One client noted, “The breadth and depth of the expertise in McDermott’s healthcare group is unrivalled, and they strike me as having the best finger on the pulse of the market.”
New and Improved National Practice Rankings:
The Firm gained new national rankings in Bankruptcy/Restructuring: The Elite (Band 5), Energy Transition (Band 3), Energy: Oil & Gas: Transactional (Band 4), and FCPA (Band 5). Improved national rankings included Outsourcing (Band 1) and Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation (Band 2).

Improved rankings included New York: Insurance Transactional & Regulatory (Band 2), Georgia: Corporate/M&A (Band 3), New York: Litigation: General Commercial: Highly Regarded (Band 4), New York: Real Estate: Mainly Corporate & Finance (Band 4), and New York: Bankruptcy/Restructuring: The Elite (Band 5).
Lawyer Rankings:
McDermott received 189 lawyer rankings, including 28 new rankings and 26 improved rankings, with 33 Band 1- and 35 Band 2-ranked lawyers.
