July 25, 2024 – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has been recognized as a “Significant Player” as part of India Business Law Journal’s Top Foreign Firms list for the second year in a row. Additionally, Ranajoy Basu and Siddhartha Sivaramakrishnan have been named to the publication’s International A-List.
The Top Foreign Firms list is an annual report that draws on the analysis of more than 600 law firms worldwide whose deals and disputes within the past 12 months have a connection to India. McDermott was touted for its recent standout deals, including representing Innovative International Acquisition Corp. in its merger agreement with Zoomcar, assisting Saison with its minority investment in a US and India data analytics business, and advising ReNew Energy Global on a variety of matters related to its day-to-day business operations.
The International A-List is an annual list of the top 100 international lawyers who focus on India. It reflects the nominations received and the justifications provided for them, combined with the India Business Law Journal editorial team’s more than 30 years’ collective experience in documenting and analyzing the global market of India-focused legal services.
