Amandeep Sidhu, who led McDermott’s eight years of fighting for Sikh-American soldiers’ religious rights through education, advocacy, lobbying and two successful lawsuits against the US Army, said “it was really gratifying to me to have a firm where the leadership embraced this.” The Firm’s pro bono team contributed some 3,300 hours and $1 million worth of time, and included partners Guy Collier, Stephen Ryan, David Ransom, Daniel Alberti, Emre Ilter, Kate McDonald, Jennifer Routh, David Roller and Jiayan Chen, plus several associates.
