McDermott Will & Emery advised Argos Wityu on the sale to PAI Partners of La Compagnie des Desserts, a producer of premium artisanal ice cream and premium frozen pastries. La Compagnie des Desserts distributes its products to more than 23,000 customers in the food service sector across Europe.
Argos Wityu acquired a major stake in La Compagnie des Dessert in 2016. During the many years of close cooperation between the management and Argos Wituy, Compagnie des Desserts has doubled its revenue reaching almost EUR 117 million. This partnership has also permitted external growth operations including three strategic acquisitions in the UK, Spain and France, allowing Compagnie des Dessert to develop new services and products such as takeaway sales and the use of environmentally responsible products.
On the seller’ side, Argos Wityu was advised by McDermott: on corporate aspect, the team was led by Bertrand Delafaye (Partner) with Marie-Muriel Barthelet (Counsel) and Sarah Louifi (Associate) and on employment aspect, by Abdel Abdellah (Associate) and Michèle Gueravetian (Associate).
