Frankfurt, May 4, 2023 – McDermott Will & Emery advised Belden Inc. on the acquisition of the Sichert Group, headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
The Sichert Group specializes in the development and production of control cabinets for network operators in the telecommunications and transportation industries. The group includes Berthold Sichert GmbH & Co. Metallwerk KG and Berthold Sichert GmbH, the Polish subsidiary Berthold Sichert Sp.zo.o. also belongs to the group.
Network infrastructure provider Belden Inc., headquartered in St. Louis, USA, was founded in 1902 and operates manufacturing facilities in North and South America, Europe and Asia. In the U.S., the company is one of the largest manufacturers of high-speed electronic cables.
The McDermott team led by partner Norman Wasse has advised Belden on several investments in the tech sector, e.g. the acquisition of the NetModule Group and the takeover of macmon secure GmbH. Stephens, a US investment bank, was also part of the transaction and regularly advises Belen on strategic acquisitions and disposals.
