Munich, January 24, 2025 – With a team led by Holger Ebersberger and Hanno Witt McDermott Will & Emery has advised NORD Holding on the sale of their majority stake in the OHRWERK Group to Demant A/S, a world-leading hearing healthcare group.
The OHRWERK Group was established in September 2020 by NORD Holding together with an experienced management team as a buy-and-build platform in the premium hearing acoustics market. Following the acquisition of the platform, the group expanded through a total of 17 acquisitions and several new openings to become one of the leading independent operators, now with 77 specialist stores across Germany.
NORD Holding is a private equity and asset management company with assets under management of around EUR 4 billion. The focus of NORD Holding’s direct business is on the structuring and financing of corporate succession models, the acquisition of parts of groups/subsidiaries and the expansion financing of medium-sized companies. The fund investment division focuses on the micro and small cap segment of medium-sized European private equity funds.
