Munich, October 22, 2024 – McDermott Will & Emery has advised European specialist growth investor Verdane on the acquisition of a majority stake in the software company Cropster. Verdane will support Cropster on its further growth.

Cropster offers software solutions for use throughout the whole coffee value chain, from producers, buyers and roasters to wholesalers and retailers. Since its foundation in 2008, Cropster has steadily expanded its global presence and now works with leading coffee companies in over 100 countries.

With offices in Berlin, Munich, Copenhagen, Helsinki, London, Oslo and Stockholm, Verdane has over €7.7 billion in assets under management. The company’s funds have made over 400 investments in fast-growing businesses since 2003. The investment in Cropster is the eleventh in the DACH region in the last 12 months and the fourth transaction in Austria.
