McDermott Continues Global Transactions Practice Expansion With New Finance Partner in Frankfurt

August 13, 2024 – International law firm McDermott Will & Emery welcomes Alexander Klein as a partner in its Frankfurt office, further strengthening its finance practice in Germany.

“Along with Matthias Weissinger and Ludwig Zesch in Munich, Alexander will bolster our acquisition finance and leveraged finance practice,” said Harris Siskind, global head of McDermott’s Transactions Practice Group. “Alexander specifically will increase the support for our private equity and corporate teams in Germany.”

Alexander has substantial experience in banking and finance law, covering areas such as acquisition financing, corporate finance and syndicated lending for both domestic and international transactions. He provides guidance to financial investors, banks, private debt funds and corporations.

“Alexander’s appointment supports our strategy of creating a leading German private equity and finance service for our clients,” said Matthias Kampshoff, Managing Partner of McDermott’s Germany offices. “Alexander’s arrival is very welcome, as our finance team in Germany has been exceptionally busy this year.”

He was also nominated for Euromoney LMG’s “Europe Rising Stars Award” in 2019 in the Banking and Finance category. Additionally, Expert Guides named Alexander a Rising Star in 2022 for Banking and Finance/Financial Services Regulation.
