CHICAGO, IL (May 26, 2017) – McDermott Will & Emery’s leading Health Industry Advisory Practice Group was named “Healthcare Team of the Year” by Chambers USA at its 2017 “Awards for Excellence” ceremony last night.
This marks the third time that McDermott’s Health team has received this remarkable distinction, making it the only Firm to be honored with this award three separate times. Additionally, McDermott’s Health team remains the sole health practice ranked “band one” nationally by the prestigious directory; a feat the Firm has achieved for eight consecutive years.

In addition to receiving the only band-one ranking in the nation, McDermott’s Health team was ranked band one regionally in California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts and Washington, DC. An incredibly high, 30 health lawyers received rankings, 10 of whom were recognized in both their home state and nationally. The award was presented to the McDermott team at a ceremony held last night in New York. McDermott’s world-class Global Privacy and Cybersecurity Practice Group was also in attendance, as the team was shortlisted for “Privacy & Data security Team of the Year.”
