International law firm McDermott Will & Emery has once again achieved Diversity Lab’s Mansfield Certification in recognition of its commitment to promoting an inclusive and equitable workplace. The Firm received Mansfield Rule Plus 7.0 Certification in the United States and Mansfield 3.0 Certification in the United Kingdom.
“We’re pleased to be recognized another year for our Firm-wide commitment to justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion,” said Anthony Upshaw, global head of McDermott’s Justice, Diverstiy, Equity & Inclusion Committee. “We have experienced positive progress since we joined Mansfield at its inception in 2018, and we are dedicated to taking measurable actions to make our processes even more inclusive.”
Mansfield is a year-long structured certification process designed to ensure all qualified talent at participating law firms have a fair and equal opportunity to be considered for leadership roles. By asking that at least 30% of talent pools considered for leadership roles consist of underrepresented groups and that advancement processes are transparent, Mansfield creates a level playing field for all.
